MESSAGE FROM EUROPEAN AQUATICS PRESIDENT
Dear athletes,
It gives me great pleasure to introduce this Information Bulletin containing practical information to help you organise your trip to the 2025 European Aquatics Masters Short Course Swimming Championships which will be held in the Aqua Lublin aquatics centre in Lublin, Poland.
I would like to warmly thank our friends at the Polish Swimming Federation, led by President Otylia Jedrzejczak, for working so hard to prepare for a successful event and I’m confident Europe’s masters’ community will find a warm Polish welcome in the marvellous historic city of Lublin.
Poland is a sport loving country with rich history and increasingly known as a host of major competitions, across all sports, including the last edition of the European Olympic Games in 2023 understand the value of sport and are ready to commit to hosting major international events.
Master athletes will have the opportunity to swim in the same pool as the elite seniors, and to also enjoy the attractions of one of Poland’s preferred tourist destinations. Lublin, which has a culturally rich history dating back to the 9th century, is the largest Polish city east of the Vistula River and only 153 km southeast of the capital Warsaw, so very easy to access from abroad.
Aquatics is truly a sport “for life” and European Aquatics is delighted to support participation from Masters who may have spent decades enjoying and competing in a sport they love.
